With over two billion units produced, the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC) is one of The Coca-Cola Company's largest partners worldwide. The company was faced with the task of increasing accuracy and speed at its large distribution center in Thessaloniki. Traditional methods using tablets and scanners were no longer sufficient.

RealWear data glasses in use

With the implementation of TeamViewer xPick, a solution for smart glasses-based picking, Coca-Cola HBC was able to bring about a significant change. Employees now wear RealWear data glasses that allow them to receive information about the products to be picked directly in their field of vision. By scanning QR codes, the accuracy of each selection is verified, which has led to a significant reduction in errors.

The result of this technological changeover is an increase in picking performance of 6-8% and almost 100% picking accuracy. Customer satisfaction has increased and the investment has quickly paid for itself through the increase in efficiency. The employees have accepted the new technology well and prefer it to the old methods. The successful implementation at Coca-Cola HBC has led to this AR solution now also being used at other company sites.
